The Challenge

Digital Science’s workspace prized openness, light and interaction—but lacked spaces for more private or focused meetings. Their challenges included:

• Need for acoustic separation for discussions or confidential conversations
• Maintaining visual transparency and daylight across the layout
• Integrating pods without making them feel bulky or intrusive in a tight ceiling height environment
• Introducing personality through finishes and colours without breaking the office aesthetic
• Installing quickly and cleanly to avoid major disruption to workflow

Our Solution

We installed a series of glass‑sided meeting pods across Digital Science’s London office. Key design decisions included:

• Pod glazing on two sides to allow natural light and visual continuity
• Use of bold upholstery tones (grey, mustard, green, red) at pod bases to reflect vibrancy and help differentiate individual pods
• Acoustic interiors to dampen external noise and contain conversations
• Compact dimensions and low ceiling considerations to avoid overwhelming the space
• Modular installation with minimal site works, ensuring continuity of office use

This resulted in pods that feel as much a design feature as functional meeting spaces—enhancing, rather than interrupting, the existing architecture and ambiance.

• Staff have accessible, on‑floor meeting zones without having to leave their desks

• The colour-coded pods inject visual interest and help define areas of use
