About Black and Veatch
Black + Veatch is a global engineering, construction and consulting company working across critical infrastructure sectors. Their Glasgow office supports multiple high focus teams, with staff regularly collaborating across projects that require both concentration and confidential conversations.
As part of a workspace update, the team needed a flexible solution that would provide private meeting space without the disruption or cost of constructing new rooms.
My Office Pod supported Black + Veatch with the dismantling, relocation and reinstallation of an existing acoustic meeting pod. The objective was to position the pod more effectively within their floorplan while maintaining the same strong acoustic performance and comfortable interior that their teams rely on daily.
The Solution
The meeting pod in this project is a compact enclosed acoustic space designed for small group collaboration. It features integrated bench seating, a fixed meeting table, a screen mount, power outlets, task lighting and soft acoustic wall panels. Its neutral palette, including grey upholstery and a light wood internal finish, blends smoothly with the modern open plan workspace.
Our team carefully dismantled the meeting pod, ensuring all mechanical and electrical elements were safely disconnected and protected. Once the new location was prepared, we reassembled the structure, reinstated all features and carried out alignment checks so that the door, seals and ventilation performed correctly. The refreshed setup now provides a convenient and comfortable space for video calls, project discussions and focused small meetings.
